Let me mention that I do have a book, Bella Lucia, published with Astraea Press. I’m writing this article because I love romance novels and feel that Astraea Press is one of the most wonderful new publishers of romance books in this industry. I have enjoyed working with the friendly, responsive staff and truly respect Stephanie Taylor and she is a great leader in this industry.
Stephanie has over six years’ experience in this industry. She is an “avid reader…and looks forward to working with her authors, having fun, and bringing you the best books available.” If you’re looking to submit your manuscript, Astraea Press is a royalty paying publisher. They’re not a vanity press. Their editors are top-notch and you can be sure that the finished, published product of your beloved manuscript will also be high-quality. I speak from experience that I have had with previous publishers where the editing was not good and the finished product was filled with spelling errors and I felt horrible with the way my book was presented.
The cover artists that they use are awesome and I really loved the cover for my book. You’ll earn 50% royalties for any of your books which are listed on their company website. True, you will have to put in a great deal of effort to market your book; however, Astraea Press is wonderful with all of the marketing tips they give and assistance they offer. They have been successful and they know what they’re doing in marketing the company and their authors and books. If you have a question, there is direct access to the owner, editors and cover artists.
They also have an awesome group of fellow authors. I have had a wonderful experience connecting with the authors on their facebook group page (open only to the authors)—it’s been a great place to share ideas online and to offer support and encouragement.
