Name: Inspired Kathy
I'm a Stay at Home mom who loves to read. I have an elementary education degree from BYU. Children's Literature was my favorite class. I read from a variety of genres but favor fairy tales, fantasy and clean romance.
In the past it would have been a 10 but life has got in the way of reading lately so I'd say a 6 or 7 currently.
Definitely agree...life can get so busy at times. I can't read as much as I'd like to either. Do you prefer eBooks or print books?
I prefer print but I'm about to make the transition to ebooks.
I'm a Kindle fan now. Made the plunge and love it! Do you have an ereader? Which one and why do you like it?
I just ordered a Kindle yesterday. My friend brought her Kindle over to download a netgalley book for us to read and it was so easy to use I decided I really wanted one.
You'll love your Kindle! What books are on your summer reading list for those lazy days at the beach or relaxing in a hammock?
Next up is The Iron Knight - I downloaded it on Netgalley but hate reading on the computer (wanting to read it was enough motivation to buy a Kindle). Then I've got a stack of books I owe authors reviews on so I'll tackle those.
Definitely Jane Austen
She's my favorite! Of all the classics you’ve ever read which book is your favorite?
Jane Eyre is pretty high up on the list along with Pride & Prejudice.
I like Pride & Prejudice and also Sense & Sensibility. Once you read a book, do you read it over again?
Occasionally I do reread a book - I've reread all of Jane Austen's books, Jane Eyre, The Twilight Series, The Book of Mormon and a handful of others. My to read list is so long I usually don't revisit a book unless it's been a really long time since I read it or I really loved it.
Happy endings or endings true to life, which do you prefer?
The only one I've ever made a special trip to attend was for The Host by Stephenie Meyer - I had the opportunity to go to breakfast with her and just couldn't pass up that chance. Other than that I've a sucker for authors who are sitting at the tables at Costco or other book stores so I usually stop and visit and then buy their book.
Very neat opportunity. Nice. Have you ever thought about writing a book?
No! As my blog title states - I am a reader, not a writer - I do not enjoy writing.
Do you like to browse books in the bookstore or do you like to shop online?
I rarely buy from an actual bookstore but I love to browse. I usually buy off Amazon.com
Me, too. I used to shop at bookstores, but now I mainly shop from Amazon and now just through the Kindle store online through Amazon. Do you like reading multiple genres or do you stick to only romance or mystery etc.?
I read multiple genres but prefer young adult, fantasy, fairy tale retellings and clean romance.
Have you seen any movies based on books and thought the book was better?
I can't think of any movie I've seen that was better than the book. I'm sure there are a few out there but I've not come across them. Books are better!
Love that...yes, "books are better..." Thank you so much for stopping by. I enjoyed chatting with you.
Hope everyone has a great weekend! We'd love to hear your views on any of these questions.
