Revisions may need to be done and you need to work with your publisher on different aspects of the pre-publication planning. You need to create a marketing plan for your book. You may have written the best novel ever written, but it won't sell itself. You really need to do some hard work.
Most of all, you need to believe in yourself and your book and know that if you work hard at marketing it, and have some Heavenly intervention (or if you'd rather, believe in luck), then your book will do well. You may not make it to the NY Times Best Seller list on your first or second or even third book, but if writing is your passion, then keep writing.
I already have a marketing plan and I am eagerly waiting to see the cover art for Mr. Shipley's Governess. I am blogging as much as I can every week and trying to keep up with my facebook and twitter pages. In the meantime, I am also starting to work on my next book, Island Honeymoon. Well, it's almost time for lunch. Have a great day!
