Fresh veggies from our Garden this year (2011). Love having a garden!
We grow bell peppers, cubanelle peppers, juliet tomatoes, zucchini, zucchini squash, eggplant, cucumbers and broccoli.
It's so great having fresh veggies during the summer months. Oh, I forgot, we also grow herbs like basil, sage, oregano, and parsley.
My DH who does so much work in upkeep with the garden.
My DH hard at work here in the garden.
So many cubanelle pepers...so sweet. Can't wait to use them in tomato sauce.
Thanks to my DH and his cousin for creating this blog button photo. I absolutely love it!
Look at that huge zucchini squash. Love it!
That's me checking out our tiny budding broccoli. The plant is huge, but the broccoli is still small
Me and my DH while we were in Lancaster a few years ago celebrating our anniversary. Lancaster is one of my favorite places to visit. We've gone there several times and always enjoy the peace and serenity of the area. We've been to visit some authentic Amish homesteads, been to some great musicals at Sight & Sound Theater and my two favorite restaurants there are Shady Maple and Good & Plenty. Oh, and I can't forget to mention the shops at Kitchen Kettle Village.
Me and my wonderful husband on our wedding day! The best day of my life! :-)
We released doves...doves mate for life so we thought it was very symbolic to do this dove release on our special day.
Our Christmas tree from Christmas 2010 in our new house. I love Christmas time...it's my favorite holiday. I think that's because so many people get into the "Christmas Spirit" and are so loving and generous for the entire month of December. If only we could all keep the true meaning of Christmas in our hearts all year long.
This was taken at my very first book signing for my first book, Shadowed Remembrances. My DH came along to this book fair that was put together by a community in Virginia. It was a fun time and we got to meet new people. I'm looking forward to many more book readings and other events.
We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon. MY DH and I took a three island tour: first island we stayed at was Oahu, the second was Kauai and the third was Maui. Each island was beautiful for its own reasons. Oahu was bustling and Kauai was like a garden paradise and Maui was a combination of both. We enjoyed our time in Paradise...my inspiration for my book, Island Honeymoon.

Dining out...we had a fantastic view of the ocean from our table. Loved all of the food while in Hawaii. We especially enjoyed the authentic Luau we went to...loved the pineapple salsa.
Here's that fantastic view we had from the restaurant.
This was taken during our second day in Waikiki. Every time we watch the new Hawaii Five-O on TV, I always point out to my DH that we were there!
For our first vacation (the year after we got married), we went to Mexico and stayed in Playa del Carmen. We took a day trip to the Mayan Ruins. I wouldn't go all the way to the top with my DH...this is as high as I went.
My husband took photos of the other Mayan ruins you could see from the top of the pyramid he walked up. He said the views were breathtaking.
Another beautiful view of the ruins.
One more shot of the ruins.
Me and my DH in front of the pyramid. It was so hot that day. I'm glad I wore a hat and there was no shade anywhere near the ruins.
We went to the Mayan Cultural Center and walked through some caves.
Final shot of the ruins.
Outside the hotel in Mexico. We went the first week in December and left home during a snow storm. So glad for the warm weather in Mexico but it was hard coming back to winter. That was the first time I ever vacationed during the winter. My DH is a veteran at vacationing in the winter (from previous family trips).
Went to the hotel night club for some shows.
My DH took a photo of the towels that the hotel staff made into animals. So cute!
